High Tech Turbo PRO STREET 66 Stainless

94-07 Dodge Cummins

High Tech Turbo's Unique partnership with Borg Warner Air Werks as THE OFFICIAL TURBO OF THE DHRA prompts the evolution of our product line for 1994-2006 Dodge Cummins engines (adaptable to 1988-1993 also). Along with Borg Warner’s race proven large shaft and our High Tech bearing and oiling system, these turbos combine the many improvements we have made since the inception of the HTB2 turbo line:

  1. Improved oil drain tube clearance.
  2. Our twin-ported wastegate now provides up to 50% more wastegate flow. This results in better boost control for single turbo applications as well as twin setups.
  3. Our adjustable boost pressure regulators utilize higher spring rates supporting higher pressures. These actuators employ our new "Easy-Adjust" feature.
  4. Borg Warner Low Drive Pressure turbine wheels. AKA, the “Killer Wheel” (71mm instead of the 65mm HTB2 wheel).
  5. Factory 1-Year warranty.
  6. Ideal for Horsepower levels from 575-675HP

The initial spool-up of these turbos might be slightly slower than out HTB2 series turbos but since the turbine wheels are low drive pressure design, they then build boost faster, offering you quicker acceleration.

These turbos should also provide a couple hundred degrees cooler EGT's under heavy acceleration and heavy loads like towing.

Like our HTB2 turbos, this series uses high torque, extended tip compressors = 62mm/87, 64mm/92, 66mm/96. (Alternate compressor sizes are for comparison to Garrett Powermax advertised compressor sizing.)

*A note about compressor choices -Our 62 compressor is the best choice for all around streetability / towing.

The 64 and 66 compressors are primarily competition compressors. Approximately 10% of our customers have witnessed excessive "surging" issues at lower RPMs (below 2000) and higher boost (above 20 PSI) conditions when using competition compressors for towing or daily driving.

WE WILL NOT BE UNDERSOLD!

HIGH TECH TURBO - Stainless Steel SS Turbine Housing highlights!

The diesel engine was designed to be a workhorse-operating within a very narrow RPM range and under certain conditions, usually WOT. High performance operation-response, spool-up, or fuel efficiency has seldom been a consideration. Our SS Turbine Housing has been designed and manufactured with High Performance in mind.

  • The volutes were designed to increase the velocity through the conical funnel shape while straightening inlet flow lines.
  • The shell mode casting process makes for a smother finish, promoting better airflow.
  • Our SS alloy rejects heat (like a Styrofoam cup). The housing walls are twice the thickness as before. These improvements allows the housing to retain heat rather than dissipate it, allowing it to be converted into energy. This improves spool-up and responsiveness.
  • Ability to withstand higher heat temperature. Current ductile iron housings have a maximum temperature of 1570°. SS maximum temperature is 2120°.
  • Improvements in the wastegate area result in better boost control on both single and compound turbo applications.
  • Enlarged dual wastegate ports increases flow up to 100%
  • Enlarged waste gate swing area allows for maximum BPR rod travel.
    • Resistance to cracking, corrosion and rust increase housing longevity.
    • The SS housing can be polished.
    • Available in (2) sizes: a 13cm and 16cm .

The SS Turbine Housing is offered exclusively from High Tech Turbo .
